i cut this out a couple weeks ago from a Starbucks cup and made it into a magnet for our fridge. i believe it to be completely true.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating – in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.

    Lacey, this was on my Starbucks cup today – made me think of you…Also, to answer who said the quote, it’s a female Starbucks customer in New York City (alas, it wasn’t me, however 🙂
